Knee arthroplasty is a surgical procedure to rehabilitate a knee damaged by gout. Metal and plastic parts are used to cover the ends of the bones that make up the knee joint along with the knee. This surgery may be considered for people with severe arthritis or severe knee injury.
Hip Arthroplasty is surgery to treat hip pain. Part of the hip joint is surgically replaced with an artificial implant. The hip joint contains a ball and a socket. In hip arthroplasty surgery, one or two parts are replaced. The goal of the procedure is to be able to resume daily activities and exercise with minimal pain.
